Collins Living & Learning Center at IU Bloomington

Students who are creative, curious, and passionate will find a diverse and welcoming home in the Collins Living-Learning Center. At its half-century mark, Collins is rich in tradition, boasting trademark events like the Halloween Dance, the Dickens Dinner, the Viennese Ball, and CollinsFest.Collins also positions its students to prepare for their futures. Our cornerstones of Self-Government, Sustainability, and the Arts allow students to have a hand in curating their own undergraduate experiences and in creating a better world. Through our Board of Educational Programmers, students can take control of their educations, helping to develop IU courses that they and fellow undergraduates can take. On our SustainCollins floor, students become stewards of our one. In our unrivaled studio spaces run by Arts Council student leaders, undergraduates gain access. to a darkroom, a ceramics studio, a textiles studio, and more. As one student declares, "Collins is a place for motivated students to do amazing things for their community."

There are now many Living-Learning Centers at IU. Among these units, Collins is unique. It's not just longevity and variety that distinguishes Collins. It's also the fact that, unlike other LLCs, students can - and do - call Collins home for their entire undergraduate careers. Thanks to this continuity, first-year students can walk into a lively residential community at the outset; seniors can sustain their engagements and hone their leadership skills for further education and the workplace.
